I am a volunteer citizen investigative journalist. A person with a conscience. Motivated to expose injustice. Once, when I was looking for experts to comment on an issue, a professor in Maynooth University told me that he hated "all these armchair wannabes" who call theselves citizen journalists. But people who really know me, would know that an ARMCHAIR wannabe journalist is something, I certainly am not.
My long term goal is to make a detailed documentary about the Defective Concrete crisis in Ireland. To that end, I've been archiving documents, newspaper clips, radio clips, TV clips, Oireachtas Dail and Committee clips, etc. I'm working on a way to be able to complex searches of this archive. I've done a lot of travelling to meet homeowners to learn of their stories. This is not always to produce content, but rather to make contacts. I also do investigations related to Defective Concrete, which I'm excited to find time to do. Currently, I'm working on my note-taking and productivity system.
